Last year I wanted to cut the cord to Spotify and move to self-hosting my own music which led me to discovering Navidrome, an awesome tag-based music server. One dealbreaker for me though was there not being an Apple TV / tvOS client available for it, so I spent a few months working on one in my free time. I'm very pleased with how it turned out and our family uses it daily. It's fairly basic, but I have plans to continually improve it as bugs arise because we are probably some of the most frequent users of the app ourselves!
